The Homecoming: A true book

Homecoming“I WONDER HOW THE FABRIC OF MY LIFE CAME APART SO QUICKLY.IT WAS A RICH FABRIC,SOMETHING I’D TAKEN GREAT PAIN AND OVER THREE DECADES TO WEAVE.WE MIGHT EACH RECOVER INDIVIDUALLY,BUT THE RICHNESS OF THE FABRIC IS GONE.”

This quote is an influencing imagination of the author SASHI WARRIER of my  FAB challenge book-THE HOMECOMING who is a Keralite. Here he compared the character Javed Sharif’s life with a fabric that worn out so quickly. My book THE HOMECOMING  is portrayed in Srinagar and tells the story of Javed Sharif who came back home after many years for his father’s eighty fourth birthday. THE HOMECOMING is the story of one family, but also many others in Kashmir whose lives have been destroyed by violence and uncertainty. It tells of the pain and suffering of the people of Kashmir and the indifference of the state.

I think this book would help me in understanding  the life of people in a terrorist prone area and the dangers ,difficulties and the threats  they face. Sri  SHASHI WARRIER dedicated this book  to all those displaced by the insurgency in Kashmir and the shelling across the LINE OF CONTROL.
