THIS STORY IS OF AN ORPHENED GIRL WHO IS HAVING AN AUNT BUT STILL LONELY IN THIS WORLD, THIS STORY IS ABOUT HOW SHE MAKES PLACE IN THE HEARTS OF THE PEOPLE OF BELDINGSVILLE AND HER AUNT.

A YOUNG TOMBOYISH GIRL NAMED POLLYANNA, AN ORPHANENED GIRL WHO GOES TO BELDINGSVILLE TO STAY WITH HER AUNT MS. POLLY WHO DON’T WANT TO TAKE THE CUSTODY OF POLLYANNA, BUT BACAUSE OF HER LATE SISTER JEANNIE SHE HAS TO. AN OPTIMISTIC GAME WHICH SHE HAD LEARNT FROM HER FATHER, SHE USED TO CALL IT “A GLAD GAME”. IT ORIGINATED IN AN INCIDENT WHEN POLLYANNA WAS HOPING FOR A DOLL AS A CHRISTMAS GIFT SHE FOUND A PAIR OF CRUTCHES, BY MAKING THE GAME ON THE SPOT HER FATHER TOLD HER THAT “WE HAVE TO LOOK THE GOOD SIDE OF EVERYTHING NOT THE BAD SIDE EVERYTIME” WITH THIS PHILOSOPHY POLLYANNA HAS BROUGHT SO MUCH GLADNESS IN HER DISPIRATED AUNT’S NEW ENGLAND TOWN TO WHICH SHE HAD TRANSFORMES IT TO A BETTER PLACE TO LIVE. POLLYANNA WAS TRULY FOLLOWING THE THING SAID BY HER FATHER, AS PER SHE WAS STAYING IN A CLOSED AND WARM ATTIC WHERE NOBODY IS ABLE TO STAY BUT SHE DID’NT COMPLAINED FOR ANYTHING RELATED TO THE PLACE, POLLYANNA WAS JUST SEEING THE GOOD SIDE OF THE ATTIC WHICH WAS IT’S WINDOW, FROM THAT WINDOW SHE USED TO SEE THE BEAUTIFUL VIEW OF THE CITY; WHEN SHE WAS BEING PUNISHED BY HER AUNT BECAUSE SHE WAS LATE FOR THE SUPPER AND WAS SENTENCED TO EAT BREAD AND MILK IN THE KITCHEN WITH HER SERVANT NANCY POLLYANNA HAD SAID HER AUNT RAPTUROUSLY THANKS, THEIR ALSO SHE WAS SEEING THE GOOD SIDE WHICH WAS THAT SHE LIKES NANCY.

SOON POLLYANNA TEACHES SOME BELDINGSVILLE’S MOST TROUBLED INHABITANTS TO “PLAY THE GAME”.

POLLYANNA’S ROBUST OPTIMISM IS TO PUT THE TEST WHEN SHE IS STRUCK BY AN AUTOMOBILE AND LOSES THE USE OF HER LEGS. AT FIRST SHE DOES’NT REALISE THE SITUATION, BUT HER SPIRITS PLUMMET WHEN SHE SAID ABOUT WHAT HAPPENED TO HER. SHE WAS THINKING ABOUT HER FATHER, HE USED TO SAY TO FIND GLAD IN EVERYTHING, BUT SHE THOUGHT THAT WHAT IS GLAD ABOUT THIS MOMENT? WHEN SHE GOT THE ANSWER OF HER QUESTION, SHE UNDERSTOOD THE GLADNESS OF THE MOMENT WHICH WAS THAT SHE IS FORTUNATE SHE HAD HER LEGS.

THE STORY ENDS LIKE THIS THAT MS. POLLY GOT MARRIED WITH HER LOVER MR. CHILTON AND POLLYANNA IS BEING SEND TO THE HOSPITAL TO LEARN TO WALK AGAIN ON HER LEGS…
