Book Review:Son Of Neptune

The Son Of Neptune by Rick Riordan is the second installment of the Heroes Of Olympus Series. What is unique about the Heroes Of Olympus series is that it is a continuation of the New York Times Best Selling series the Percy Jackson Series. Yet, the Heroes Of Olympus series introduces new characters as well as incorporates characters from the Percy Jackson Series. The twist with the Heroes Of Olympus features is that The Son Of Neptune is the second installment of the Heroes Of Olympus Series. What is unique about the Heroes Of Olympus series is that it is a continuation of the New York Times Best Selling Series, the Percy Jackson Series. Yet, the Heroes Of Olympus Series introduces new characters as well as incorporates characters from the Percy Jackson features.

The twist with the Heroes Of Olympus series is that it highlights Roman mythology instead of Greek mythology like in the Percy Jackson series.
The last book, The Lost Hero, introduced the character Jason who woke up with no idea of who he was. He eventually ends up at Camp Half-Blood, which is a camp for children who are demigods, half-human and half-Greek God. However, the reader finds out later that Jason is from Camp Jupiter, which is like the Roman version of Camp Half-Blood and that Percy Jackson went missing about the same time Jason did.

The Son Of Neptune continues where The Lost Hero left off, only it tells the story of Percy Jackson and his time at Camp Jupiter. Like the last novel, The Son Of Neptune introduces new unlikely characters like Hazel, a girl with a mysterious past, and Frank, a boy with a heavy burden to bear and a family secret. The new mix of characters is refreshing and captivating. You just cant put the book down!!
