Nakshathra reviews ‘Sita: Warrior of Mithila’

Sita, Warrior of Mithila, is the second book of the Ram Chandra series written by Amish. This is a fictional story of Lady Sita one of the main characters of Ramayana and the wife of Lord Ram. In this book Sita is more than just an obedient wife, the adopted daughter of King Janak and Queen Sanaina, Princess Sita, becomes one of the greatest Prime Ministers of Mithila. The novel depicts Sita as a brave princess with both beauty and brains. The great saint Vishwamithra is impressed with her and declares her as the saviour of India. Later in life Sita marries Prince Ram of Ayodhya. The news enrages Raavan and he attacks Mithila. In an attempt to save the kingdom Ram uses the asura astras and gets banned from the Sapta Sindhu. Sita and Lakshman accompanies him too so that he wouldn’t be all alone. But trouble manages to find them even outside the country.. The book ends abruptly while Sita is being held hostage by Raavan and she realizes that one of her best friends had been betraying her all the time.

I recommend this book to all thrill seekers and action lovers. And if you are in need of a mythological fiction this is definitely your book.
